Rebuild Dominica Homepage Redesign

Making a collective's experience visible, and its invitation to participate clear.

Rebuild Dominica brings volunteers, expertise and resources together to support recovery, education and community opportunity. LaDàna Young, through Above Prestige PR, reworked its homepage so a visitor could understand that collective's value and find a clear way to contribute. Before & After

The strategy shift, step by step.

The Before

  • A large masthead and banner delayed the introduction to RDI's mission.
  • The homepage relied on a long post feed to explain the organization.
  • Partner recognition sat in a narrow sidebar alongside other widgets.
  • Scholarship stories and ways to participate were dispersed across older content.

The After

  • A people-centered hero introduces the mission and offers support and partnership actions.
  • Permanent mission sections work alongside the latest community posts.
  • A dedicated partner showcase links each logo to its organization's website.
  • Scholar profiles bring individual Amazon registries and news features onto the homepage.
  • Clear contact, education committee, application and nomination paths invite participation.

Outcomes

A clearer mission story with direct paths to support, collaborate and get involved.

  • The volunteer collective's experience and partnerships are visible on the homepage.
  • Community stories remain current alongside permanent mission and program sections.
  • Donations, scholar support, collaborations and applications have distinct next steps.

Outcomes are described directionally. Above Prestige PR does not publish client performance figures without written client approval.

Overview

Rebuild Dominica brings volunteers, expertise and resources together to support recovery, education and community opportunity. LaDàna Young, through Above Prestige PR, reworked its homepage so a visitor could understand that collective's value and find a clear way to contribute. The redesign combines a lasting mission narrative with fresh community posts, while preserving the organization's existing WordPress content.

Challenge

The original homepage led with a banner and a long stream of posts. RDI's volunteer expertise, partnerships and scholarship work were harder to see as one connected story. Prospective collaborators, donors and families needed clearer context and more obvious next steps.

Strategic Direction

Build the homepage around the people behind the purpose, then connect credibility to action. An emerald, ivory and gold visual direction elevates the presentation while retaining Dominica's cultural identity. Static mission sections establish the work; current posts keep the site active; dedicated support and contact paths invite visitors into it.

Services Provided

  • Homepage content strategy and messaging
  • Visual direction and responsive layout
  • Premium redesign of the Dominica banner
  • Linked partner logo showcase
  • Dynamic community story cards
  • Scholarship profiles and individual Amazon support links
  • Donation, collaboration and volunteer calls to action
  • On-site contact, scholarship application and nomination forms
  • WordPress child theme implementation and GitHub deployment

Impact

The published homepage now presents RDI's mission, people, partners and scholarship work in one coherent experience. Visitors can find direct ways to donate, support individual scholars, propose a collaboration or join the work. The result documented here is the improved structure and implemented visitor paths; engagement and fundraising changes have not yet been measured.

Accuracy Note

This case study covers the October 2026 homepage redesign and implementation, separately from APPR's ongoing press and stakeholder communications work with RDI. Existing posts and media were retained. Screenshots document the published design at this milestone; further site enhancements are ongoing.

A stronger presentation. A clearer invitation to participate.
